Q. I've selected PubMed records from among my PubMed search results. How can I print the selected records without printing the other records?

Answer

  1. Use the "Summary" drop-down menu above the results list to select the "Abstract" view.  The "Abstract" view of the selected records (without the undesired records) will appear.
  2. Now if you want to print the shorter "Summary" view, use the "Display settings" drop-down menu to switch back to the "Summary" view or to switch to the "Summary (text)" view.
  3. If you have selected more than 20 records and you wish to print all selected records on one page, scroll to the bottom of the page to find the "Per Page" menu and make the appropriate selection.
  4. Once you have selected the desired "Format" and "Per Page" options, use the browser's "File" menu to select "Print"  or use a keyboard shortcut  (Ctl-p on a Windows computer or the Command-p  on a Mac computer) to open the "Print" dialog box.
