1. Check the boxes in front of the records you wish to export.
2. Click on the "Add Marked to Bag" button/link above the result list
3. Click on "View Bag" button
4. Click on "EndNote/RefWorks" radiobutton
5. Click on "Local Disk" radiobutton
6. Click on "Submit" button.
  • Most browsers will automatically save a file in your "Downloads" folder and give the file a names like "export....txt"
  • If you are asked wht you would like to name the file, note the location in which you're saving the file and give the file a name you can remember.
7.  Go to RefWorks, hover over the "References" menu and select "Import."  An "Import References" box will appear.
8.  Use the "Import Filter/Data source" drop-down to select the "University of Nebraska Medical Center " filter
9.  Use the "Database" drop-down to select the "Helix EndNote/RefWorks format" database.
10.  Use the "Encoding" drop-down to select "UTF-8" (the top-most choice in the menu).
11.  Select a folder if desired.
12.  Click the "Import" button.
