Q. The "GetIt!@UNMC" buttons disappear after I log into My NCBI. Can you help?

Answer

You can customize your My NCBI account so that the "GetIt!@UNMC" buttons will still be present after you login.

To customize My NCBI,

log into My NCBI,

click on My NCBI to reach the My NCBI homepage,

Find the "Filters" box in the lower, right-hand corner of the page and click on "Add Filters for the Selected Database" or click on "Manage Filters."

 

You may want to start by selecting some of the popular filters (red arrows in figures below).  

Then click on the "Linkout" radiobutton (blue arrow).

 

 

Search for University of Nebraska Medical Center filters

 

 

 

Select both "Filter" and "link icon" options.

 

Use the "Resources" drop-down menu to return to PubMed so that you perform a search and check for the presence of the "Get!@UNMC" buttons.
