Q. I can't access the full-text of a journal in the library's online collection.

Answer

There are several reasons why you may not be able to access the full-text of a journal. Do any of the following scenarios fit you? If not, please contact the library for further assistance.

  1. Does the library subscribe to the journal and does the date of the article fall within the date ranges? Search the Online Journal Finder to find out.
  2. If you are in PubMed, did you click on the GetIt@UNMC button or the publisher button? The GetIt button will take you into the library's licensed journal collection. The publisher buttons will only work if you are on-campus and the library subscribes to the journal directly from the publisher (and not an aggregator) or if its marked "Free" by the publisher.
  3. Are you accessing the journal from off-campus? A few titles are only available when one is on the UNMC campus. If you are not Omaha-based and cannot visit campus, you can contact the Reference Desk for assistance.
