Q. I can't enter information in the "title" field of the RefWorks "add new reference" or "edit reference" pages. What can I do?


This problem is the result of compatability issues between your browser and RefWorks.   There are several possible fixes:

  • Try reloading the "add new reference" or "edit reference" portion of the  page (right click inside the "add new reference" area and select refresh or reload).
  • Try clicking the the broken page icon.   This icon is  located at the right-hand end of the address box in the certain versions of Internet Explorer.
  • If you don't see a broken page icon and you're using IE9 or if nothing seems to happen when you click the broken page icon, try using the Tools menu in IE9, and then select the Compatibility View.
  • Try a different browser.  If you're using Internet Explorer, try Firefox and vice versa.

I've had each of the above methods work for me at different times.
