Q. Why can't I get in to library resources off campus?
If the firewall of your workplace internet connection or your ISP is set to block proxy servers, you will get a 'page cannot be displayed' type of error when trying to authenticate into library resources.
The first thing that you can try is a new browser. Firefox, Chrome, and Safari are good alternatives to Internet Explorer. If a new browser does not fix the issue:
Contact the IT department in charge of the firewall of the network you are on and use the following script:
'I am an authorized user of the UNMC network trying to get to library resources through a proxy server. Could you please allow the proxy server at https://library1.unmc.edu/login through the network's security settings?'
