Q. For our pharmacotherapy class, we have to work through cases from the pharmacotherapy casebook. AccessPharmacy is telling me that I need to login?

Answer

You will need to create a free, personal "MyAccess" account.

It’s probably more convenient to create an account before navigating to the “questions” tab (In my experience, if you sign-in after reaching the “Questions” tab, you get taken back to the AccessPharmacy homepage and have to navigate to the case all over again.

When you go to AccessPharmacy, you will seen a "person" icon next to "McGoogan Library of Med" in a drop-down menu at the upper right-hand corner of the page.

A screenshot of the upper, right-hand corner of the AccessPharmacy homepage. An arrow points to the position of the "person" icon next to "McGoogan Library of Medicine" . When you click this icon a drop-down appears with a "Sign in or Create a Free My Access Account" option.

Click the "Sign in or Create a Free My Access Profile" option.

Use the “Create a Free MyAccess Profile” link to start the process of signing up for an account.

I’m not sure about this, but you may have to use a unmc.edu e-mail account to create a “MyAccess” account. You’re creating an account within our institutional license and this often requires use of an institutional e-mail account.
