Q. I'm a delegate for an investigator's "My Bibliography", but I only seem to be able to add publications to my own "My Bibliography".
First a few questios:
- Did you click on the link in the My NCBI e-mail that asked whether you were willing to serve as a delegate?
- After clicking the link, did you log into your own "My NCBI" account and click the "Confirm Connection" button?
- When you log into "My NCBI" and look at the "Collections" box on your "My NCBI" webpage, do you see separate links to your own "My Bibliography" and the investigator's "My Bibliography"?
If you can answer yes to all of the above, it's likely that you've just missed a step in the process of adding to the investigator's "My Bibliography".
When you find one or more of the investigator's publications by searching PubMed, you will need to use the "Send to" drop-down to select "My Bibliography" and click the "Add to My Bibliography" button. This step is the same whether or not you're adding to your own "My Bibliography" or to someone else's "My Bibliography".
On the Page that appears after clicking the "Add to My Bibliography" button, you will be offered the chance to select the radiobutton in front of "Other bibliographies that you manage" and then the chance to choose the specific bibliography before clicking the "Save" button. You must click on the adiobutton in front of "Other bibliographies that you manage"; it's not enough to just pick the appropriate "My Bibliography"
