Ideally, the list of publications will be created using the "My Bibliography" feature in the faculty member's "My NCBI" account in PubMed. The faculty member does not have to do the work of compiling his/her publication list his/herself. S/he can either (a) give another person his/her "My NCBI" username and password and let them work from within his/her account or (b) /she can use the My NCBI account settings page in his/her account to delegate another individual to work on his/her "My Bibliography" list from within that other person's My NCBI account.
The "step-by-step guide" available at http://unmc.libguides.com/mybibliography describes the entire process from creating a "My NCBI" account, to appointing a delegate to work on your "my bibliography", to adding publications to "my bibliography", to making "my bibliography" public and obtaining the publicly accessible link, to adding publications from "My bibliography" to the SciENcv biosketch template. Creating the public link to the publication list is covered in section X.
