  1. Go eRA Commons (see link below these instructions) and, if logged in, logout of your account.  This will make it possible for you to unlink your eRA account from your investigator’s NCBI account. 
  2. Go to PubMed (see link below these instructions) and log into the investigator’s My NCBI account.
  3. Click on the investigator’s username (it will appear as a link near the upper right-hand corner of the page) and click on "Account Settings."
  4. Scroll down to the linked accounts section.
  5. Locate your ERA account in the table, and click on the corresponding "trash can"icon to remove your account.  
  6. Click on the "Add Account" link.  Scroll to find “eRA Commons”.  Click on that link. 
  7. You should be given the chance to log in with the investigator’s eRA Commons username and password.
