How can I reserve a study room?

To reserve a study room:

  • Access the EMS web app using the QR code below the room number
  • In the top right corner, click "Welcome, Guest" and select "Sign In"
    • The "Sign In" button in the middle of the screen will not work. You must use the option under "Welcome, Guest" in the top right corner

  • Select UNMC and log in using your UNMC NUID credentials
  • Select "New Booking" on the upper right part of the screen or "Create a Reservation" under the three bar menus on the left

  • Under "My Reservation Templates," select the "UNMC Reserve Library Student Study Space (Omaha)" template using the "book now" button
  • Set the Date & Time information for your planned reservation, then select a room
    • "Let Me Search For A Room"
      • Mark "UNMC - Wittson Hall/McGoogan Library" in the "Locations" field
      • List the number of people using the room
      • Click "Search"

    • "I Know What Room I Want"
      • Type the room number or "WHM [Room Number]" in the "Room Name" field
      • If the room does not appear, try adjusting the date & time information. The room might already be reserved during that period.

  • Depending on how you are accessing the reservation website, you can either use the green "+" button to the left of the name or the room name itself to select the room you want

  • An "Attendance & Setup Type" dialog box will appear. Enter the number of attendee(s) for your event and select 'Add Room.'
  • Use the blue "Next Step" button in the upper right to enter Reservation Details, including Event Name and Event Type. Select your name in the "Group" field
  • Click "Create Reservation" to complete the process

Once a reservation has been created, you can select "Edit this reservation" or click "My Events" on the left side of the screen on a laptop or desktop computer to make changes to your reservation. In the mobile interface, you can go to the "Home" screen and select the hours and event name side of the reservation list to access the "Cancel" option.

After the reservation time has started, the reservation cannot be canceled. Please contact the AskUs staff if you want to cancel a current reservation or if you run into any other issues trying to reserve a room.
