Nebraska Medicine staff have access to library resources through the NM intranet page (NOW). A link to the Nebraska Medicine Virtual Library can be found on the Resources page under Clinical Resources. When prompted, users can enter their NM email username and password to log in.
Please note the main library website links are set up for UNMC credentials and will not work with NM credentials, even if the databases are the same. NM users must use the Virtual Library links for their credentials to work.
NM users have access to Interlibrary Loan services and librarian research assistance (search requests, consultations, etc) at no cost. They also have their own liaison librarians.
Clarkson Family Medicine Residents are considered Nebraska Medicine and use the same resources and services that NM does.
Nebraska Medicine Pharmacy Residents have UNMC volunteer faculty appointments and have access to our collection despite being officially Nebraska Medicine-affiliated.
If a Nebraska Medicine user wants to check out a physical book, they will need to have an Alma account set up for them:
- Use the "Register New User" button in Alma
- Enter the user's name
- Enter their Nebraska Medicine email address as their "Primary Identifier"
- If they prefer to use a different email address for regular communication, use that in the "Email address" field while keeping their NM email address as their primary identifier
- Set their "User group" to "Nebraska Medicine"
- Set their account expiration date to one year in the future
- Create a temporary password and select the "Force password change on next login" option
- Enter the appropriate address in the "Email Address" field and select the appropriate "Email types."
These users will now be able to log in to the catalog using the "Other users" sign in option.
